These are the learning outcomes offered from this course
eLearning: Part 1: The Classical Mat Pilates Repertoire – You will study the traditional methods, analysing technique and identifying the technical demands. You will look at adaptation and modification and biomechanics of movement efficiency.
Part 2: Postural and movement assessment – identifying specific postural and movement assessments to identify muscular imbalances and to be able to set and design specific correctional programmes for clients with a person centred approach.
Teaching clinics: The teaching clinics are tutor led, looking at the breakdown of exercises to develop your own technique and teaching skills. The teaching clinics will study 19 of the 34 exercises at advanced level.
Practical: Your practical course will study brand new exercises not covered on the teaching clinics, there are 15 in total. Following the practical and teaching clinics all 34 exercises will have been studies at advanced level. The practical day will have teaching practice and tutor led guidance of postural and movement assessment.
