The Exercise Referral for Health Management course looks to build on the knowledge gained via Level 3 Personal Trainer or Level 3 Pilates qualifications. This will enable learners to support clients with certain common medical conditions covered in the qualification, such as obesity, asthma, and hypertension. Students will receive a comprehensive workbook for pre-course reading and attend a 1.5 day theory and practical course.
On this Exercise Referral for Health Management course, your staff will be taught through our blended learning format; gaining the essential knowledge to underpin their practical training at home and developing teaching skills in a tutor-led professional environment.
Any employees enrolled on this course must already hold a Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology qualification and Level 3 Nutrition and Weight Management qualification. If this qualification was certified over 3 years ago, further evidence may be required. They will also need to have experience working with clients.
The assessment consists of:
• VTCT learner achievement portfolio – worksheets, a case study and 2 x MCP exams
• Formative practical assessment/review 4 weeks after the practical workshop.
The final portfolio and case study have to be submitted at the practical assessment.

We help you keep up to date with the progress your employees are making, by offering a range of reporting throughout their training journey; ensuring that your team are on track to complete their qualification.
Our account management reporting includes:
A course that takes place at one of our 40 national venues. An open course involves your employees training with others learners, in one of our venues that pass a strict audit to ensure they provide the perfect environment for practical learning.
A bespoke course at your own venue of choice, exclusively for your members of staff. A closed course involves a more intimate training experience, that only your employees will attend.
P.S. closed courses typically save 20-40% on average (dependent on the number of learners).
Following this course, your staff will be able to grow your client base and expand into working with GP referrals. This will in turn expand your revenue streams with a new offering. Staff will be enabled to support clients with certain common medical conditions covered in the qualification, such as obesity, asthma, and hypertension.
