Future Fit for Business Partners with active-net

Future Fit for Business Set to Attend all Three active-net Events in 2024 and 2025.

Future Fit for Business are pleased to announce its partnership with active-net, committing to attend all three of their premier events in 2024 and 2025. This collaboration marks a significant step in strengthening industry connections and fostering innovation within the sector.

Future Fit for Business will actively participate in the United Kingdom (National), Scotland, and Private sector events organised by active-net. Notably, Future Fit for Business will sponsor the drinks reception at the Private sector event, while also engaging as delegates at the National and Scotland events.

The partnership between Future Fit for Business and active-net is built on a shared mission to elevate the industry through collaboration, innovation, and education. Both organisations are driven by a common vision to advance the role of fitness and leisure in public health, recognising the power of knowledge-sharing in driving positive change and raising industry standards. As a leading education provider, Future Fit for Business is dedicated to understanding industry needs and working closely with operators to deliver high-quality training at active-net events.

David Monkhouse, Director of Active Insight, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership:

“active-net is thrilled to partner with Future Fit for Business, enhancing the experience we provide for our delegates and supporting the ongoing growth and development of the workforce across the UK. This partnership will unlock new opportunities for all participants and lay the groundwork for the future expansion of our events.”

Founded in 2014, active-net has quickly become the leading networking platform in the industry, hosting 13 face-to-face events and two online gatherings. The introduction of the Scotland event in 2021 and the expansion into new areas, such as the private sector, Veg-net (focused on plant-based foods), and open water events in 2024, highlight active-net’s continuous growth and relevance. Looking ahead, active-net plans to further expand in 2025 with an education-focused event targeting schools, colleges, and other educational institutions.

Tom Godwin, Group Operations Director at Future Fit, expressed his excitement about the collaboration:

“active-net is by far the premium networking event in our sector, so we are very excited to be part of the next three events. The overall event alongside Mike and David’s team always amazes me with their attention to detail and ability to run impactful networking events. It is an alignment based on quality and supporting the sector that makes this a very natural partnership for us at the Future Fit Group. We are excited to attend the events and look forward to this partnership developing further over the coming months.”

active-net’s influence is reflected in its impressive accomplishments, including winning the ukactive Business Continuity and Success during COVID-19 award in 2021. The events consistently receive outstanding feedback, with an overall Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 94 from 15 events. With delegate attendance ranging from 75 to 154 per event, active-net has facilitated over 9,000 one-on-one meetings between operators and supplier partners, cementing its value as an essential industry gathering.
