Founded in 2014, active-net has quickly become the leading networking platform in the industry, hosting 13 face-to-face events and two online gatherings. The introduction of the Scotland event in 2021 and the expansion into new areas, such as the private sector, Veg-net (focused on plant-based foods), and open water events in 2024, highlight active-net’s continuous growth and relevance. Looking ahead, active-net plans to further expand in 2025 with an education-focused event targeting schools, colleges, and other educational institutions.
Tom Godwin, Group Operations Director at Future Fit, expressed his excitement about the collaboration:
“active-net is by far the premium networking event in our sector, so we are very excited to be part of the next three events. The overall event alongside Mike and David’s team always amazes me with their attention to detail and ability to run impactful networking events. It is an alignment based on quality and supporting the sector that makes this a very natural partnership for us at the Future Fit Group. We are excited to attend the events and look forward to this partnership developing further over the coming months.”
active-net’s influence is reflected in its impressive accomplishments, including winning the ukactive Business Continuity and Success during COVID-19 award in 2021. The events consistently receive outstanding feedback, with an overall Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 94 from 15 events. With delegate attendance ranging from 75 to 154 per event, active-net has facilitated over 9,000 one-on-one meetings between operators and supplier partners, cementing its value as an essential industry gathering.
